Bulgaria will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine – PM

Bulgaria will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said.

"I want to remind that we have not stopped helping Ukraine for a single day. And we will continue to provide it regardless of the signing of certain documents, both within the framework of joint efforts of the EU and NATO, and on the basis of bilateral agreements. Help for Ukraine is help for Europe and Bulgaria," he said at a press conference with Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Monday.

At the same time, Denkov did not disclose the details of the military assistance provided to Kyiv, but noted that "we are constantly increasing our support both in the field of diplomacy and in the field of military-technical assistance, we check daily what your needs are and what our capabilities are."

The same, according to him, applies to humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians.

Answering the question whether Bulgaria intends to sign an agreement on security cooperation with Ukraine, Denkov replied: "The issue of signing security guarantees will be discussed, consultations will be held, and we will make a decision."

The Bulgarian Prime Minister also said that his country is looking for opportunities to support international efforts aimed at finding the right form for Russia to compensate for the losses it inflicted on the Ukrainian people.
