Kyivteploenergo confirms compliance with occupational safety and health care to international standards
The municipal enterprise Kyivteploenergo successfully passed the second surveillance audit and confirmed the validity of the international certificate ISO 45001:2018 "Healthcare and Occupational Safety Management System" at the enterprise.
"Kyivteploenergo was the first among the Kyiv's utility companies to receive this international certificate in 2022," the company said on Friday.
As the company said, the audit showed the successful implementation of the implementation plan for the international standard ISO 45001:2018 for 2020-2023 and confirmed that the health and safety management system of Kyivteploenergo meets internationally established requirements.
In the structural divisions of the enterprise, management processes have been standardized, criteria and control points for organizing the work of personnel have been established, a hazard identification and risk assessment map has been developed, and their management has been defined.
For the further functioning of the management system, more than 40 Kyivteploenergo employees received certificates for managing the process of hazard identification and risk assessment, as well as certificates for managing audit processes.
"Labor safety and personnel health are one of the priorities of our enterprise. This is especially important now – when the energy sector of Kyiv is under constant enemy fire. Compliance of the organization of the work process, safety and labor productivity with the requirements of international standards confirms the effectiveness of our work in this direction," Deputy Director for Investment Activities and Prospective Development of Kyivteploenergo Yulia Orel said.
In 2023, the enterprise also received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015 "Environmental Management System".
"This showed the compliance of the environmental management and standards of the enterprise with international standards, which are much stricter than Ukrainian ones," the company added.
Kyivteploenergo is the largest heat supply company in Ukraine and the third largest in Europe.
