NACP includes in database of foreign weapon components details of Iskander-K missile that hit center of Chernihiv in Aug 2023

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has added to the world's only open database of foreign components in weapons details of the Iskander-K cruise missile, which the Russian Federation used to strike the center of Chernihiv on August 19, 2023, the NACP press service reports.

"The base was replenished with four new components from the SN-99 global navigation satellite system unit of the 9M727 Iskander-K cruise missile, which killed seven people, including a six-year-old girl. More than 150 more people were injured then," the NACP said in a message on the Telegram channel on Friday.

Reportedly, experts also determined that "the missile was manufactured no earlier than March 2023, which means it is likely that these components were delivered to the aggressor after the start of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine."

As previously reported, in December the NACP announced the launch of the world's first open database of foreign components used by the Russian Federation and Iran in unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, electronic warfare systems and other types of weapons and military equipment.

Now the database posted on the War and Sanctions portal contains information about foreign components found in Russian and Iranian weapons used during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
