Lithuanian Defense Ministry announces transfer of 3 mln units of ammunition to Ukraine

Lithuania has transferred more than three million units of ammunition, as well as remote detonation systems and winter equipment to the Ukrainian army, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday.

"Our commitment to assisting Ukraine remains unwavering. In shaping our support packages, we respond to Ukraine's most important needs and priorities," said Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas.

A new batch of military aid was delivered by the Lithuanian army and handed over to the Ukrainian side on Wednesday.

Earlier in November, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced the transfer of NASAMS missile launch systems with the necessary equipment, as well as a batch of electric generators, to the Ukrainian military.

According to the department, in addition to military equipment, Lithuania constantly trains the Ukrainian military, provides treatment and rehabilitation of the wounded, organizes expert consultations, and also allocates funds to international funds to support Ukraine.

The report states that the total cost of Lithuanian military assistance to Ukraine is about half a billion euros.
