Zelenskyy orders Fedorov, Umerov to reach maximum digitalization of supplies for defense forces
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters on Thursday to consider the operational situation at the front, Ukraine's own production of ammunition, and the escalation in the Middle East.
"I have held a meeting of the Headquarters. There key issues [were discussed]. The first one is the front. Reports by the commanders Zaluzhny, Syrsky, Tarnavsky [were heard]. The situation in the main directions – the East and the South. The defense of our positions. And our next steps," the head of state said on the Telegram channel.
The second key issue, according to Zelenskyy, is Ukraine's own production of weapons and hardware, regular building up of its volumes.
In particular, "the Ministry for Strategic Industries has a clear task to provide a program of Ukrainian weapons supply for all of the key requirements, from missiles and drones to armored vehicles and projectiles."
"Reports have already been presented on separate components of the program. Good results. And they will be even better," the president said.
"Separate instructions were issued to Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov and Defense Minister Umerov – to ensure a maximum digitalization of supplies for the defense forces. Full accountability and control are our priorities. There are clear terms for implementation," he said.
The participants of the meeting also listened to a report by Chief of the Foreign Surveillance Service Oleksandr Lytvynenko regarding the situation in the Middle East.
"We take into account all factors, take care of the interests of our citizens in the region and work with our partner to prevent a wider destabilization," Zelenskyy said.
