Zelenskyy at meeting with Stoltenberg: It's important for Ukraine to cooperate with leading arms manufacturers to implement NATO standards

During his business trip to Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to the presidential press service, Zelenskyy noted Stoltenberg's important leadership role in coordinating the work of allies and making NATO decisions in support of Ukraine, and also thanked the Secretary General for participating in the first international Forum of Defense Industries in Ukraine.
"I am grateful for your strong signal during the forum that Ukraine needs high quality means, in large numbers and quickly, to stop drones and intercept missiles," Zelenskyy said.
In addition, the head of the Ukrainian state noted the importance of Ukraine's cooperation with the world's leading arms manufacturers in order to implement NATO standards in the defense industry and strengthen compatibility with the Alliance.
Zelenskyy also expressed confidence that during Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of defense ministers and the meeting of the Alliance defense ministers on October 11 and 12, member countries will make positive decisions on further supplies of necessary weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, as well as on providing other assistance
"Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the readiness of the Ukrainian side to actively work with the Allies to agree on a new adapted Annual National Program aimed at implementing NATO principles and standards in Ukraine. In this context, he also emphasized the importance of preparing jointly with the Alliance a Roadmap for Ukraine's interoperability with NATO," the press service said.
