On March 21, over 42,000 people crossed the state border from Ukraine to the EU and Moldova, which is about 10% less than the day before, the State Border Service said on Tuesday.

"The data indicate that passenger traffic on the western section of the border is declining," the agency said.

According to its data, since March 15, the number of people leaving Ukraine has been steadily declining, and in general, during this time it has already fallen by 44%. In addition, on March 21, the minimum number of vehicles crossed the border - more than 11,000, while earlier it did not fall below 13,000.

The State Border Service specified that about 69% of those who left for Poland on March 20, which is slightly above average.

"We remind you that to cross the border in the EU, you can choose checkpoints on the borders with Hungary, Slovakia, Romania," the agency said.

According to it, the flow of people entering Ukraine on March 21 decreased to 17,000 compared to almost 20,000 the day before, returning to the average level of previous days.

About 14,000 Ukrainian citizens entered the country.

"The vast majority are men who are ready to defend the country. In total, about 355,000 of our compatriots have returned to Ukraine since the beginning of open armed aggression," the State Border Service said.
