Zelensky instructs to speed up delivery of goods to Ukraine from abroad as much as possible

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to develop solutions that will speed up the delivery of all necessary goods to Ukraine as much as possible.

"I've instructed the Cabinet of Ministers, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to develop such a format of decisions that will make it possible to speed up the delivery of all necessary goods from abroad as much as possible. First of all, this concerns food, fuel and other goods that satisfy the basic needs of society," he said in a video message on Friday.

"War is not the time for bureaucrats, careerists from various departments to complicate the provision of people," the President of Ukraine said.

According to him, "we want to simplify as much as possible the passage through customs of all goods that Ukrainians need now. If this requires removing taxes and excises during martial law, we are ready to do it. If for this it is necessary to remove customs officers who do not understand the tasks of wartime, to act quickly, we will do it."

"Our borders should be open to everything Ukrainians need. I look forward to the relevant decisions before the end of the day. And then support from MPs, because everyone should work only for Ukrainians, only for our state, for defense. Not for ambition. Not for horror. Not on the bureaucracy," the President said.
