President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the new U-24 alliance of states must ensure that every aggressor receives a coordinated peace response within 24 hours.

He noted that, despite the imposed sanctions, the Russian economy still continues to keep the "war machine" in Ukraine.

"Therefore, new packages of sanctions against Russia are needed. The world must finally officially recognize that Russia has become a terrorist state. And most importantly, Ukraine must receive more support. Even more than we get now. Air defense systems. Aircraft. Enough lethal weapons and ammunition to stop the Russian occupiers... I have appealed to the U.S., and to all responsible states, to create a new U24 alliance, a new alliance that will ensure that every aggressor receives a coordinated peace response, quickly and effectively, immediately, not through weeks, months, years, but in the first 24 hours from the offensive," Zelensky said in a video message on Thursday night.

He said that Ukraine can no longer trust existing institutions with respect to pre-existing security guarantees.

"We cannot hope that bureaucrats in international organizations will be replaced so quickly. Therefore, we must look for new guarantees. Creation of new tools," he said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, while addressing the U.S. Congress, called for the creation of a new association of states - U24 (United for Peace), which would be able to provide the necessary assistance to repel the aggressor within 24 hours, in particular, by providing weapons, sanctions, humanitarian and political support.
