The enemy shelled Kharkiv and its suburbs, including using the MLRS, 70 times, Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov has said.

"Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupying troops inflicted about 74 artillery and mortar shelling attacks, including from multiple launch rocket systems in the areas of Oleksiyivka, Piatykhatky, Northern Highway, Belogorod Highway, Kholodna Hora, Derhachi [a suburb of Kharkiv], Academician Barabashov subway station, the center of the city of Kharkiv," Synehubov wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, during the night the city was shelled about 29 times, while, according to the information of the Kharkiv Defense Headquarters, no activity of enemy aircraft was observed in the regional center, no bombing was recorded.

At 22:17, the enemy damaged the dome of the Nikolsky shopping and entertainment center located in the center of Kharkiv with a heavy Smerch multiple launch rocket system. The center collapsed inside. Employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working at the scene.

At 22:19, in an attack by the enemy's Smerch multiple launch rocket system, residential buildings along Pushkinska Street were damaged.

Synehubov said that at about 5 am, the gas pipeline was damaged in an enemy shelling of Pivnichna Saltivka, about one third of the inhabitants were left without gas.

"30% of the city's residents were left without gas. A gas fire broke out at the site of the shelling, which continues to this day. Rescuers are working hard at the scene," Synehubov wrote.

At the same time, Synehubov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are going on a counteroffensive in many directions in the region.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine are defending Kharkiv, launching a counteroffensive in many directions in the region. The enemy is demoralized, exhausted and does not take active offensive actions. Therefore, he resorts to cynical attacks from the air," Synehubov wrote.
