Russian President Vladimir Putin should allow safe corridors for rescuing people and delivering aid to Ukraine, said Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer.

"The situation in Ukraine in a few days will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe due to lack of resources. Humanity is on the agenda - especially for Russia. Putin must allow safe corridors for saving people and delivering aid," Nehammer said on Twitter on Tuesday.
