Kazakhstan not considering sending its military contingent to Ukraine - Kazakh Defense Ministry
The Kazakh Defense Ministry has denied the information on Kazakh troops being sent to Ukraine, saying the ministry has not received such a request.
"The information posted on social networks on Kazakh troops allegedly being sent to Ukraine is not true. A request to send Kazakh troops to Ukraine or any other country has not been received and therefore is not being considered," the ministry said in an official commentary released in the early hours of Monday.
The Defense Ministry said events associated with boosting combat readiness and combat training of the Kazakh Armed Forces involving personnel redeployment and training are being conducted according to plan.
"In the meantime, military equipment is being moved by rail transport for repair work according to plan from Western Kazakhstan to the southern part of the country from February 25 to March 3," the press release said.
Besides, military motor equipment for the military unit of the Aktau garrison is being sent from the Almaty region in the said period, the ministry said.
