Ukraine records 4,182 new COVID-19 cases per day, 4,351 people recovered – Stepanov

As of Tuesday morning, some 4,182 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 4,351 people recovered, some 153 patients died, Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.

"Some 4,182 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine as of February 23, 2021. In particular, 252 children and 219 medical workers fell ill. Over the past day, some 1,236 people were hospitalized, some 153 people died and some 4,351 people recovered," Stepanov said on Facebook on Tuesday morning.

The day before, on February 22, some 3,206 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported; on February 21, some 4,489 new patients with COVID-19 were reported; on February 20, some 6,295 cases of COVID-19 were reported; on February 19, the minister informed about 6,531 new cases of infection; on February 18, some 6,237 cases of the disease were recorded; on February 17, some 4,286 cases were reported; on February 16 there were 3,143 new cases and on February 15 there were 2,332 new cases.

The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Monday morning was 1.312 million people, some 25,309 people died, and 1.152 million people recovered.

Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Ivano-Frankivsk (716), Chernivtsi (468), Kyiv (454), Vinnytsia (243) and Zakarpattia (224) regions.
