Russian-occupation forces in Donbas open fire on Ukrainian positions five times – JFO HQ

Over the past day, Russian-occupation forces have opened fire five times on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, using small arms, machine guns and grenade launchers, the press center of the Joint Force Operation (JFO) has said.

"Over the past day, on January 4, five ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of the Joint Force Operation [...]. There are no combat casualties or injuries among the Ukrainian military," the headquarters said on its Facebook page in the morning.

In particular, in the area of responsibility of the Skhid (East) task force, near Vodiane and Lebedynske, the enemy fired towards the Ukrainian positions from grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns. Near the settlement of Hnutove, the opening of fire was recorded twice not only from grenade launchers, but also from small arms. In the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) task force near Luhanske, the enemy fired several indirect shots from automatic heavy and heavy anti-tank grenade launchers.

It is noted that all the facts of violations of the ceasefire regime through the Ukrainian side of the JCCC were reported to the OSCE representatives.

"Since the beginning of this day, January 5, no ceasefire violations have been recorded. Silence is observed along the entire contact line," the JFO said.
