Implementation of global judicial reform to start in Ukraine in 2021 – Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the global implementation of the judicial reform of Ukraine is planned in 2021, the press service of the President's Office reported.

"We have launched the Supreme Anticorruption Court, and there are already verdicts - it has been working for over a year. I think this is important. Now we are 'fighting' with some judges of the Constitutional Court who want to destroy the anticorruption structure in Ukraine. They will not succeed. We will reformat it all. And the next big phase is the global judicial reform in Ukraine, which we will start implementing next year, because many laws have already been prepared, the stages of implementation of these reforms have been prepared," the President's Office quoted Zelensky as saying in an interview with The New York Times.

The President also noted that a lot of funds spent on infrastructure were redirected to medicine, in particular, to salaries for doctors. "All doctors who struggle with COVID-19 today receive 300% of their salary," said Zelensky.

In addition, the head of state noted that a reform of the Security Service of Ukraine will be launched, which will not deal with the economy.

Also, the reform of the Prosecutor General's Office was launched and actually completed, where the prosecutors held competitions.
