Zelenskyy on govt replacements: Everyone in their position must deliver certain results during autumn
It is important that government institutions work as actively as possible now, and each of the newly appointed ministers must deliver certain results during the autumn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Government replacements have taken place. I am grateful to the parliament for supporting the relevant candidates. And it is critical that government institutions work as actively as possible now – even more actively than before. At all levels," Zelenskyy said in his video address on Thursday evening.
The head of state explained that more investment from partners in Ukraine's defense industry is needed, as well as active progress in negotiations with the European Union, in particular, the preparation of a future accession agreement. In addition, Ukraine needs more interaction and mutual understanding between the central government and communities.
"And, of course, more support for the front and for all our people. This concerns the supply of weapons. Our energy – the protection of energy facilities and the restoration of what was destroyed. A clear veterans policy," the president said.
In addition, it is necessary to clearly counter Russian propaganda abroad, as well as work with the global Ukrainian community. Zelenskyy said the tasks facing the new government also include ensuring Ukraine's financial stability and intensifying work with partners to channel funds from Russian assets.
"There are dozens of such very specific tasks, and in their positions, everyone must produce certain results during the autumn," the head of state said.
