Procurement of Bogdan-2251 on state order in 2017 raises availability of ambulance vehicles at Armed Forces by over 20%

The procurement of Bogdan-2251 ambulance vehicles under the state defense order for the Armed Forces in 2017 allowed increasing the number of ambulance machinery in the army by more than 20%, the press service of Bogdan Corporation has reported, with reference to the official representative of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Defense Ministry's main military medical department, the purchase of 100 Bogdan-2251 ambulance cars in accordance with the state order in 2017 increased the availability of ambulance machinery in the army from 55% to 76%.

The military department said it is planned to continue purchasing medical vehicles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2018.

At the first stage of military operations in the east of Ukraine, the delivery of ambulance evacuation machinery to the army was provided mainly by private enterprises during the mobilization waves, as well as within the framework of foreign humanitarian assistance.

In 2015-2016, medical equipment such as Saxon, BMM-4S, BURTEK was delivered to the armed forces, which significantly increased the capacity and the availability of ambulance machinery of the Armed Forces, the report says.
