Groysman orders Foreign Ministry to start talks with intl organizations on search for independent experts for HACC

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has instructed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to begin consultations with international organizations on the search for independent experts for the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC).

"I am instructing the Foreign Ministry to begin consultations with international organizations on the search for independent experts. The task is to ensure everything until the court begins work," the government's press service quoted Groysman as saying on Monday.

In addition, he instructed the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry, in conjunction with the State Property Fund (SPF) and the Kyiv City Administration (KCSA), to provide the HACC appeals chamber and the HACC judicial chambers with proper facilities for the administration of justice in the first instance.

"I give you a month to find the premises," he said.

He noted that among other things, it is necessary to identify and ensure the protection of the premises of the Anti-Corruption Court, the personal protection of judges, their homes and the personal safety of members of their families, as well as the preservation of their property.

According to the report, the units of the National Police and the National Guard will carry out this work.

"The Finance Ministry is to send the draft state budget for the next years the expenses needed to support the activities of the Anti-Corruption Court. The funds for financing this year have been allocated, because they were previously included in the state budget, "the government report says.
