Savchenko may undergo lie detector test on Tuesday, resumes hunger strike
Arrested MP Nadiia Savchenko may undergo forensic psychological examination using polygraph on April 17.
"The examination won't continue today, because the experts are not ready to conduct it today. The interrogation was postponed until tomorrow. The reasons are apparently technical," her lawyer Oleh Solovei told Ukrayinska Pravda online magazine.
He noted that Savchenko resumed the hunger strike, which she interrupted for three days to be ready for a polygraph test. "She believes that this will not affect the results of the test. She says she ate for three days, so she got enough strength and is sure that this will not affect the result of the interrogation," the lawyer said.
On April 13, Nadiia Savchenko's sister Vera Savchenko said the arrested lawmaker's lie-detector test was cancelled because of her ill health. Nadiia Savchenko then decided to interrupt her hunger strike for three days to undergo forensic psychological examination with the use of a lie detector.
