Parubiy participates in conference in Chisinau with Moldovan, Georgian counterparts
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy takes part in the inter-parliamentary conference in Chisinau (Moldova) on Friday, First Deputy Speaker Iryna Gerashchenko will preside at the plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament.
According to the information published on the Verkhovna Rada's website on Friday, Parubiy is in Chisinau, where he will take part in the conference "Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Eastern Partnership and Current Security Challenges."
During the conference, participants will discuss joint security challenges, energy security, economic growth and the rule of law within the framework of the Eastern Partnership initiative of the European Union, as well as the formation of reaction to disinformation.
In addition, a joint statement of the heads of the parliaments of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia is planned.
Closing the plenary session of the parliament on Thursday, Parubiy informed the people's deputies that during the hour of questions to the government on Friday he would be absent, and Gerashchenko would preside at the meeting.
