Health Ministry of Ukraine could amend contracts with international procurement organizations for 2018, taking into account recommendations of the Accounting Chamber, Deputy Health Minister Olha Stefanishyna has said.

"The contracts for procurement using 2017 budget funds have been signed. We are designing a base for signing the contracts [for procurement] using 2018 budget funds. We are designing our vision, taking into account the remarks of the Accounting Chamber. This mainly concerns the term and schedules of supplies and responsibility for infringements," she said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

She said that the information about procurement prices in the contracts could be confidential, as international procurement organizations push for low prices with manufacturers, which do not apply to other countries.

"There were many questions about the possibility of showing the contracts with international organizations, what information could be confidential. If we speak about the prices of medicines, it is important to understand that international organizations arrange low prices for Ukraine for many medicines. That is why this information could be confidential," she said.
