The UK has confirmed that Roman Nasirov suspended from the post of head of the State Fiscal Service has the UK passport, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk has said.
"This is violation of the law on civil service. A decision was made at a meeting [of the government members before the government meeting] that I would initiate the formal petition to dismiss him," he told reporters before the government meeting on Wednesday.
In addition, Danyliuk said that the Finance Ministry will draw up new legislative acts on the reorganization of the State Fiscal Service to replace the annulled ones.
"We discussed that we will initiate new legislative acts that would be more up-to-date," Danyliuk said.
He said that the acts annulled were a part of the reform of the State Fiscal Service, in particular, it was the reform concept. The acts were approved but not signed, as some issues were remained disputed.
"We devoted almost 40 minutes to the issues of reforming the State Fiscal Service [before the government meeting]. There is full support to continue the process. The prime minister backs the reform of the State Fiscal Service," the minister said.
