Next Sunday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will visit Ukraine, Ukrayinska Pravda online newspaper has reported.

"Rex Tillerson will arrive in Ukraine on July 9. It will be a short visit planned for two hours or two hors and a half. It is not known yet with whom the U.S. Secretary of State will meet in Kyiv," the source said told the Internet ezine on Tuesday morning, citing sources in diplomatic circles.

The information indicates that this visit is considered an achievement of Ukrainian diplomacy, it is important against the backdrop of a meeting between Russian and U.S. Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, which will be held on the sidelines of the G20 summit.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko reported that during Tillerson's visit to Kyiv "our developments in Washington would continue." Also this month, the visits of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg are expected.

In addition, Poroshenko announced the visit to Ukraine in August by U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry and also the visit of U.S.Secretary of Defense James Mattis in the coming months.
