Residents of all districts in Kherson region are still receiving power despite the damage of pylons carrying power lines to Crimea, the press service of Ukrenergo has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Two districts in Kherson region which were previously connected to the Tytan substation [in Crimea] were switched to other substations in Kherson region. The scheme became less reliable, as there is no a reserve power line, but consumers continue to receive electricity in the required volume," the company said.

Ukrenergo said that activists are continuing to block access to the damage site.

"After talks between acting director general of Ukrenergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk and protesters an agreement on the meeting of director of Kherson inter-district energy system of Southern power grid Ihor Bosko with representatives of the activists to settle the situation has been reached. The meeting will be held on Monday," the company said.

Ukrenergo said that now damaged power lines are earthed and repair staff are ready to working as soon as they can access the sites.
