Veneto Council Commissioner Diego Cancian, responsible for the international projects of Italy, presented humanitarian aid for Ukrainian hospitals at a meeting with the Ukrainian first lady Maryna Poroshenko, the press service of the Ukrainian president has reported.

"Cancian conveyed the first part of humanitarian assistance upon completion of the meeting: hemodialysis devices and audiometers," reads the report.

Poroshenko thanked everyone involved in handing over the medical equipment.

"This assistance is essential and vital for us. On one hand, there are still hostilities on the frontline. On the other hand, there are over a million IDPs from Crimea and Donbas. Thus, the burden on medical institutions has increased significantly all over Ukraine. People need high-quality medical assistance everywhere," she said.
