With 100% of ballots counted, Klitschko, Bereza to stand in Kyiv mayoral election runoff

Incumbent Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko and MP Boryslav Bereza will stand in the second round of the Kyiv mayoral election.

A total of 353,300 people voted for Klitschko, 77,030 voted for Bereza, and 73,720 voted for Yednist (Unity) Party leader and former mayor of Kyiv Oleksandr Omelchenko, according to the Kyiv election commission.

Batkivschyna candidate Volodymyr Bondarenko received 68,500 votes, while Samopomich candidate Serhiy Husovsky received 67,197 votes.

The total number of people who voted in the first round of the Kyiv mayoral election totaled 870,900. Klitschko scored 40.5% of the vote, Bereza 8.8%, Omelchenko 8.4%, Bondarenko 7.86%, and Husovsky 7.7%.

The mayoral election runoff in Kyiv must take place no later than November 15.
