Price of sanctions against Russia nothing compared to lives of Ukrainians - Yatseniuk
The introduction of sanctions against Russia will have consequences for the Ukrainian economy, but this is nothing compared to the loss of human lives in the east of the country, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"We realize that the introduction of sanctions will have consequences for the Ukrainian economy. But this price is nothing compared to the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, Ukrainian people, who are shot by Russian-supported terrorists," he said in parliament on Tuesday.
Yatseniuk said that a government bill proposes imposing 29 types of sanctions.
"It's a matter of national dignity," he said.
