State of emergency not to be considered at Rada's special session, says speaker
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak has said that the issue of introducing a state of emergency will not be raised at an extraordinary session of parliament on January 28, the only issue on its agenda is the peaceful resolution of the political crisis in Ukraine.
"The only issue that will be raised at the special session will be the current situation. The situation is very difficult, and we will consider the peaceful solution to the political crisis in Ukraine," Rybak said in an interview with the Rada TV Channel, adding that no documents for the introduction of a state of emergency in Ukraine have been considered.
"This issue will not be raised at the extraordinary session," he said.
