Residents of Kyiv complain about inconvenience related to mass rallies in city center - KCSA

The 15-51 call center has recorded an increase in the number of complaints about the situation in the center of Kyiv, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) reported on Monday, referring to the Call Center of Kyiv municipal budget-sustained institution.

According to the institution's statistics, during the New Year holidays residents of Kyiv complained most of all about the housing and utility problems and inconvenience related to mass rallies in the city center.

"The Call Center of Kyiv is operating around the clock, even during the holidays. During the New Year holidays the residents of Kyiv complained mainly about the maintenance of buildings, the cleaning of entryways and adjoining areas, and garbage disposal. The number of complaints about unauthorized trade also increased before the New Year. These are common problems for Kyiv, but our analysts have recently recorded a significant growth of concern from the residents of Kyiv about the situation in the city center," the director of the call center, Yehor Stefanovych, said.

He said that residents of the central part of the city most often complain of the inconvenience related to mass rallies.

"The largest number of calls regarding the Maidan comes from the residents of nearby streets, who are experiencing significant inconvenience due to such long protests, traffic restrictions, a lot of garbage, etc. Some residents of Kyiv complained that garbage cans disappeared and landfills appeared near their homes (in the center of the city)," the city administration's press service quoted Stefanovych as saying.
