OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has condemned a terrorist attack at the railway station in Volgograd (Russia) on Sunday that left some 15 dead and many more wounded.

"I strongly condemn this brutal act of terror that resulted in the death and injuries of many innocent people. I convey my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," he said.

"The international community should stand united in fighting terrorism. Such heinous acts of terror have no excuse, and must have no place in the civilized world," the information policy department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry quoted Kozhara as saying.

The OSCE chairperson urged the OSCE participating states to strengthen practical tools to counter terrorism.
