As of 16:00 on Tuesday, January 7, 128 military clashes were recorded on the front line, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Our defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines and destroying the plans of the Russians. At the same time, the occupiers are focusing their efforts on Pokrovsk, Kurakhove directions and in Kursk region," the message says.

So, in Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers started clashes of varying intensity 28 times. The Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Tarasivka, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Luch, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Zelene, Novyi Trud and Pokrovsk. As of 16:00, five clashes are ongoing.

In Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian units repelled 14 attacks by Russians. In addition, 14 clashes occurred in Vremiyivka direction, four of them are ongoing.

In Kursk region, the Defense Forces repelled 27 attacks by the Russian army. In addition, the enemy launched six air strikes, dropping 17 bombs, and carried out 146 artillery attacks, including six from multiple rocket launchers.

"Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear," the General Staff stressed.
