Air defense shoots down 17 of 43 drones, another 23 UAVs locally lost – Air Force
As of 08:00, the downing of 17 enemy UAVs has been confirmed, 23 drones were locally lost, and three more Russian UAVs left controlled airspace in the direction of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Thursday morning.
"On the night of October 31, 2024 [from 18.30 October 30], the enemy attacked the bridge across the Dniester estuary in Zatoka, Odesa region. Two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles were launched from Crimea and eight X-59/69 guided air missiles were fired from tactical aircraft over the Black Sea, two X-59/69 guided air missiles were shot down in the evening in Odesa region," the Telegram message says.
The occupiers also struck Kramatorsk with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Rostov region.
From the directions of Kursk, Orel - Russia, the enemy attacked with 43 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of an unknown type.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Air defense operated in Odesa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Poltava regions.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
