Ukrainian national parks Cheremosh, Hutsulschyna, Enchanted Land, and Skole Beskids received 15 new vehicles, funded by the Frankfurt Zoological Society and the German government, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine reported.

According to a press release received by Interfax-Ukraine on Saturday, five pickup trucks and ten motorcycles were handed over in a ceremony attended by representatives of the German Embassy in Ukraine and the Frankfurt Zoological Society.

"Patrolling, monitoring, and conducting research in national parks will now be much more efficient. The vehicles will allow quick movement throughout the parks, ensuring timely responses to environmental threats. Paired with the SMART bio-monitoring system, currently being implemented across our national parks and reserves, this is a meaningful and timely addition. Despite the realities of war, we continue to move towards European standards of sustainable reserve management," said Environmental Protection Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.
