Court extends around-the-clock house arrest for MP Tyschenko
Kyiv's Pechersk District Court extended the preventive measure for Ukrainian MP Mykola Tyschenko in the form of around-the-clock house arrest until September 23, Suspilne reported from the courtroom on Monday.
Tyschenko is suspected of illegally depriving a former serviceman of his liberty in Dnipro. In June, the court in this case placed the MP under house arrest for 60 days without the right to post bail. Subsequently, Kyiv Court of Appeal upheld the ruling on around-the-clock house arrest for Tyschenko.
According to the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), on June 20 in Dnipro, a group of people, illegally deprived the victim, a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, of his liberty on the instructions of Tyschenko. The victim was held for a certain period of time and sustained bodily harm. The investigation established that this was done by prior agreement by a group of people and with the use of physical force and special means. In turn, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) approved the petition to choose a preventive measure for the MP in the form of around-the-clock house arrest.
In addition, law enforcement officers reported suspicion to another person who took an active part in illegal actions, under Part 2 of Article 127, Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The SBI also clarified that searches were conducted at the MP's place.
Earlier, a number of Telegram channels published a video in which on June 20 in Dnipro, a group of unknown people attacked a former fighter of the special unit Kraken Dmytro "Son" Pavlov during a walk with his baby. The video shows that the security of MP Tyschenko, with whom Pavlov argued, was involved in this.
