Air defense eliminates 25 of 38 enemy kamikaze drones
Ukrainian air defense eliminated 25 of 38 enemy kamikaze drones that attacked Ukrainian infrastructure on Thursday night, in particular Odessa and the central regions, commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleschuk reports.
"This night, the enemy used 38 strike Shahed-131/136 drones, attacking Ukrainian infrastructure facilities in several directions, in particular the south of Odesa region and the central regions of Ukraine," he said on his Telegram channel.
Oleschuk emphasized that as a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 25 attack UAVs were shot down. Three more were lost in location after crossing the state border with Romania.
According to him, on the night of July 25, the invaders launched strike Shahed drones from Cape Chauda, Crimea and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia.
Oleschuk noted that the air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces and electronic warfare units of the Air Force, and a crew of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
In particular, air defense worked in Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.
