Zelenskyy on Orbán's visit: We need to build at least pragmatic bilateral relations

The visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Ukraine was the right step to build relations between the countries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes.
"The fact that the visit was to Ukraine is good in any case. Since we did not have any specific relations. We are neighbors. We are not at war with the Hungarians... We must have strong, friendly, at least we need to build first, at least pragmatic relations," Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian state said he did not consider Orbán's subsequent visit to Russia correct. "I believe that his visit to Ukraine was correct. If he used Ukraine so that after that it would be comfortable for him to go to Russia, by the way, I didn't know about his visit to Russia when he was in Kyiv – if he used it like that, this is wrong, I think. I don't support his visit to Russia, but this is his decision," the president said.
He also noted the importance of building interstate relations with Hungary. "Frankly speaking, I think that we need to try to build relations between our countries. We must try," Zelenskyy said.
