Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman expects that the regulations of the Energy Efficiency Fund and the provisions on its supervisory board will be approved in September 2017.

"In September, articles of association of the Fund and the provisions of its Supervisory Board are expected to be approved," the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reported after a phone talk of the prime minister with European Commission Vice President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic.

The press service said that members of the supervisory board will be selected in a separate tender, in which, on the proposal of Groysman, representatives of the EU and international financial organizations will be engaged.

"We highly appreciate the previous decision of the European Commission on the allocation of EUR 50 million to support the establishment of the Energy Efficiency Fund and we count on the completion of all negotiation formalities by the end of the year. I can assure that the government will continue reforms in the field of energy efficiency, so that next year we could receive additional financial assistance from the EU to the tune of EUR 50 million," the press service said citing Groysman.

The prime minister also expressed gratitude to the other participants of the project in financing the Energy Efficiency Fund, namely the Government of Germany, the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank.
