Industrial prices in Ukraine 25.4% up in 2015

The rise in industrial prices in Ukraine in 2015 slowed down to 25.4% against 31.8% in 2014, the State Statistics Service has reported.

According to its data, in December wholesale prices rose by 0.3% after increasing by 0.1% in November and falling by 2.4% in October.

As reported, the rise in industrial prices in Ukraine in 2013 amounted to 1.7%, a year ago 0.3%.

According to the State Statistics Service, in December compared to November 2015 prices in mining and quarrying industry fell by 4.2%, in particular in oil extraction by 12.8%, production of metal ores by 8.0%, coal by 2.6%. At the same time, prices in production of stone, sand and clay increased by 2.6%, natural gas by 0.1%.

Prices in processing industry were down by 0.2%, in particular in production of coke and fuel by 2.5%, metallurgical industry by 1.1%, production of chemicals by 0.7%. However, last month prices in the manufacture of motor vehicles rose by 0.7%, pharmaceuticals by 0.5%, rubber and plastic goods by 0.4%.

Prices in production of food, beverages and tobacco goods went up by 0.5%. In particular prices in production of dairy goods increased by 3.4%, bread and bakery products by 2.1%, meat and meat products, cereals by 1.6%, processing and canning of fruit and vegetables by 1.5%, sugar production by 1.2%, oil and animal fat by 0.9%. At the same time, tobacco products became cheaper by 7.1%.

Tariffs for the supply of electricity, gas and conditioned air rose by 3.3% due to a 3.7% rise in electricity price. Heat energy prices decreased by 0.1%.
