Zelenskyy: We already see when and how we’ll be able to deliver new air defense systems to Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that working with allies and partners, in particular, with Germany, the United States, and the Netherlands to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, already allows us to understand the timing and logistics of the supply of new systems to protect Ukrainians.
The President of Ukraine, first of all, thanked Germany and personally German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the decision to transfer the third air defense installation in the near future.
"Thank you, Olaf, for the air defense. Germany is already one of the world leaders, helping us in the field of air defense. I also want to thank all your manufacturers, in particular, for the IRIS-T [air defense system], which really helps a lot," Zelenskyy said, speaking at the opening of the conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Berlin on Tuesday.
So, according to him, thanks to the supply of various Western air defenses to Ukraine, "we managed to provide partial protection from Russian airstrikes, but we must and can do more."
The Head of State reiterated that Ukraine needs at least seven Patriot air defense installations in order to close the main cities in the near future. "This will be the driver of saving normal life in Ukraine, which our people deserve, and will ensure that the economic life of the country will not be destroyed."

Zelenskyy also noted that together with the Netherlands, the United States and other partners, Ukraine is working to provide more air defense.
"And we are already seeing how and when we will be able to deliver new systems to Ukraine," he said, adding that the new air defense systems will give confidence that peace will come.
