The single veteran hotline, organized by the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, received more than 400 calls during the first week of operation.

"The line began operating in test mode a week ago, as a joint project of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and the Ministry of Veterans. Its main task is information support for veterans and their families...During the first week of work, the majority of calls came from Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Kharkiv and Rivne regions," the URCS reported on Facebook.

Some of the most common topics of interest to veterans and their families include benefits procedures, medical care, legal advice, psychosocial support and housing issues.

Operators of the single veteran line have undergone special training and provide high-quality advice and clarification on urgent issues.
