President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented certificates for receiving apartments to Heroes of Ukraine and members of the families of fallen soldiers who were awarded this title posthumously, the press service of the President's Office reported on Thursday.

Addressing those present in the Awards Hall of the Mariyinsky Palace, the head of state noted that today different types and branches of the Ukrainian troops, different military stories are represented here, but in Ukraine there will always be equal respect for all Ukrainian soldiers and every heroic unit of the Defense and Security Forces.

"The true memory of Heroes is always based on two elements: a feeling of gratitude and unwavering respect for everything that has been done for the sake of our state and our people. Ukraine will never lose this feeling and will always be grateful, will always respect its Heroes. Each and everyone who stood up to defend the country. All those who became exemplary warriors. Everyone whose personal choice of courage and heroic deeds helped Ukraine stand on the path of our independence," Zelenskyy said.

He thanked everyone who fights for the sake of the state, and every family of Ukrainian Heroes for the fact that Ukraine has such warriors. "Let all generations of the Ukrainian people remember those who defended Ukraine. And let there be a bright memory of all our Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine," the president noted.

Zelenskyy presented 30 certificates for apartments to military personnel of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and family members of fallen Heroes.
