President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski held a meeting as part of their participation in the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe summit in Tirana.

"The head of state highly appreciated the support of Ukraine from North Macedonia at the political level. Zelenskyy thanked his interlocutor for his clear position regarding the future membership of our state in NATO, which was evidenced in the Joint Declaration on the Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine," the presidential press service said.

In addition, Zelenskyy informed President Pendarovski about the situation at the front and the current defense needs of Ukraine. The head of the Ukrainian state noted the importance of North Macedonia's participation in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.

The parties also discussed the creation, with the participation of the Balkan countries, of a hub for the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian military personnel, as well as the recovery of children of fallen soldiers.

"If our friends help, we can talk about a rehabilitation coalition. It will be very important if our Balkan friends can help organize such a platform with the participation of different countries," Zelenskyy said.
