The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold positions in Krynki of Kherson region, said spokesperson of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk.

"The situation is really difficult, but controlled. It is controlled by the efforts of the Defense Forces. It is clear to everyone that it is extremely difficult to maintain a foothold in such conditions, but nevertheless we are holding it," she said on the telethon.

Commenting on the statement by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu that Krynki were allegedly mopped up, Humeniuk suggested that the text had been prepared in advance.

"Shoigu's false statement is obvious to everyone that it was an empty blank that they prepared after the powerful assaults on Sunday. But they did not achieve success, they did not have time to report, they printed out what was prepared, and it rushed around the world. But as a result, we have demonstrated to everyone that we continue to hold the bridgehead and repel the assaults of the enemy. Otherwise, who did they attack today, themselves?" she pointed out.
