Ukraine submitted three elements of the intangible cultural heritage for inclusion in the UNESCO lists and included 31 new elements in the National List of Elements of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2023.

"Thanks to the effective work of the Expert Council and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, in 2023 Ukraine submitted three elements of intangible cultural heritage for inclusion in the UNESCO lists. In addition, the National List of elements of intangible Cultural Heritage has been replenished with 31 new elements," the press service of the ministry said following a meeting between Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostyslav Karandeyev and members of the Expert Council on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

It is noted that during the meeting, the parties discussed the results of work for 2022-2023, future plans and activities for the preservation, popularization, identification, research, and enhancement of the role of intangible cultural heritage.
