URCS to conduct training on teaching intl law in war conditions

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), with the support of the British Red Cross Society, will conduct a training on the peculiarities of teaching international humanitarian law (IHL) in war conditions on February 4 and 5 in Kyiv.

"The Ukrainian Red Cross Society, with the support of the British Red Cross Society and the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of Great Britain, is organizing a training for academic circles "Features of teaching international humanitarian law in conditions of international armed conflict," the society said on Facebook on Monday.

URCS invites teachers and representatives of the academic community to participate in the training on international humanitarian law.

The training will focus on issues such as risks and challenges, changes in the forms and methods of teaching IHL in the context of a full-scale international armed conflict; core categories of international humanitarian law; information resources on IHL, methodology for teaching titled "Responsibility in International Humanitarian Law" to various target groups.

Sessions for training participants will be conducted by specialists with extensive experience in the field of international humanitarian law.
