Zelenskyy: We will produce a million drones next year
Ukraine will produce one million unmanned aerial vehicles in 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Regarding production, we will produce a million drones next year. We'll make a million. We will do everything to make it so. I know it will happen," Zelenskyy said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The head of state also stressed that "there should be the best drone management infrastructure, not Soviet, but simple to be used very quickly."
"I have just had a meeting of the Staff Headquarters, and one of the key issues is drone production and delivery. And I really don't like it when, logistically, we still have bureaucratic, Soviet processes. When 26,000 drones were in one warehouse and did not reach the front. Yes, it was very loud at the meeting, but there cannot be such pauses, such problems," Zelenskyy said.
"I'm just shocked how something that we have produced cannot get to the place. But we will fight this, I mean logistics. Our soldiers will receive domestic drones in brigades," the President assured.
In addition, he stated that the artillery would increase.
