Uman receives four mobile boiler houses from URCS and Coca Cola

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and Coca-Cola HBC Ukraine handed over four mobile boiler houses to the territorial community of Uman (Cherkasy region).

“All boiler houses were manufactured by Ukrainian manufacturers by order of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society with funding from the Coca-Cola group of companies and adapted to Ukrainian conditions. They are universal and operate not only on liquefied gas, but also on diesel fuel,” said chairperson of the Cherkasy regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society Yulia Kholodna.

According to the director of the Uman utility company Umanteplokomunenergo, Yuriy Hurtovenko, these modern mobile boiler houses will be used if any heating problems arise.

“Each such boiler room is mobile, with modern equipment. It is installed directly near residential buildings and can be connected in the shortest possible time. It takes a few hours to deploy it and connect it to supply heat,” he noted.

He also said that the boiler room is fully automated and starts automatically, and one person is enough to service such boiler rooms.

Director for Corporate Relations and Sustainable Development of Coca-Cola HBC in Ukraine, Armenia and Moldova Andriy Bublik emphasized that similar boiler houses are ready for the heating season not only in Uman, but also in other territorial communities.

“We remember the difficulties we faced in the last heating season, when there was uncertainty whether there would be heat in homes, and especially where it should be constantly - in kindergartens, hospitals, and schools. Therefore, we made a decision and allocated $3.5 million, for which 37 mobile boiler houses of this type have already been produced, with varying capacities from 200 to 1,000 kilowatts. They were delivered to communities before the start of the heating season, so that this winter would be warmer for everyone,” Bublik said.
