The future of Ukrainian-Russian relations will be decided by future generations, but it will also depend on how Russia plans to end the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video address to Mexican students on Wednesday.

"Everything we had before burned down along with our houses. Therefore, today it is very difficult to talk about the future," he said.

"I believe that future generations will decide. And it will depend on how Russia is going to end this war. If it leaves our territory on its own... Their future generations will ask for forgiveness," Zelenskyy noted.

According to him, "we do not attack them, nor the civilian population, nor the infrastructure. We did nothing. They came to our land. No respect for them. They killed everything we had together. They killed it along with our people and our children."
