The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made it obligatory to turn on daytime running lights while driving on all vehicles outside populated areas.

As Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, reported on his Telegram channel, the decision was made at a government meeting on Friday.

In particular, changes have been made to traffic rules in order to bring Ukrainian legislation closer to the legislation of the European Union.

Thus, there is an obligation to turn on daytime running lights while driving on all motor vehicles outside populated areas, and if they are not included in the design of the vehicle, low beam headlights.

There is also a ban on transporting children whose height is less than 150 cm in vehicles without the use of child restraint systems that allow the child to be fastened using seat belts provided for by the design of the vehicle and in the back seat of a motorcycle and moped.

In addition, the list of road signs that indicate special parking spaces on highways and roads for cars has been clarified.
