The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska had a phone conversation with the First Lady of Israel Michal Herzog.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian head of state, during the conversation Zelenska expressed condolences to the First Lady of Israel to the victims of the terrorist attack by the Hamas group.

"We feel your pain, the pain of every family in Israel. Ukrainians in all corners of our state express support for the people of Israel, and let me convey this to you. Our servicemen recorded a video in support of the Israeli people. These and many other manifestations of solidarity confirm how our peoples are close both in joy and in sorrow," Zelenska said.

As of October 17, the death of 13 Ukrainian citizens has been confirmed; at the same time, the identification of bodies continues, so the data changes daily; in addition, as a result of a terrorist attack on Israel, a boy was injured, whose mother died at the hands of terrorists. The child is provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance. It was possible to evacuate 436 Ukrainian citizens.

At the same time, Zelenska said "terrorism knows no borders."

"Therefore, it is even more important that the countries that oppose this act together. Ukraine consistently advocates peace in the Middle East for all peoples," the press service said.
